Graduation Message to the Class of 2020

With the COVID-19 pandemic paralyzing the fourth quarter of the 2019-20 school year, June traditions were modified in order to follow health and safety protocols. Instead of the traditional graduation exercise, a virtual ceremony was provided allowing for all faculty members to share a short message to the graduating seniors. The following video was included in the faculty roll call.

Dear students,

I remember the morning of my high school graduation I wanted to wish my classmates luck with an old Irish blessing. But this year, you have shown resilience is much more powerful than luck.

So to the Class of 2020…

May you rise to meet the high road
And stand firm amid all headwinds
May your shining face bring warmth and comfort
Wherever tears rain down
And until we meet again, remember:
As long as you care for others,
you’ll be in good hands.

Congratulations!
Go get ‘em!
